Inventory and Procurement Specialist - InfoSmart Technologies Inc

Position Overview:

Client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Inventory and Procurement Specialist. This individual will manage and optimize purchase orders across several business units, ensuring smooth operations and effective inventory management. The role will also involve transportation planning, tracking inventory levels, and analyzing data to provide actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase Order Management:
  • Enter and manage purchase orders across multiple business units.
  • Adjust order quantities and delivery dates as needed.
  • Track and follow up on past due purchase orders.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding ship dates and order status.
• Transportation Planning:
  • Schedule inter-unit transfers and manage dropship orders.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to schedule customer shipments.
• Inventory Tracking and Replenishment:
  • Monitor inventory levels across the network.
  • Plan and execute replenishment strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Data Analysis:
  • Compile and analyze data related to inventory and procurement activities.
  • Synthesize data to develop actionable recommendations for improving efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Experience in inventory planning or inventory management.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
• Experience in supplier management is a plus.
