About the Job
The Materials Clerk is responsible for maintaining the integrity of Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods balances in SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring quantities are accurate.
- Review and correct daily material errors in SAP system
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly cycle counting , reconciliation and system correction
- Coordinate inter-company movements.
- Labeling incoming purchased materials for easy identification
- Conveying inventory issues to appropriate departments
- Inputs external and internal receiving in SAP system
- Maintain Receiving Files
- Resolves invoice issues as they relate to receiving.
- Monitors and Request Rail Car movements
- Communicates daily production plan to Receiving Clerks and Production Team
- Monitors minimum / maximum levels based on production requirements.
- Audits daily production reporting and corrects as required
- Required to drive fork /clamp truck as needed
- Continue to evaluate material packaging / storage and make improvements.
- Work with production team on proper product storage and labeling.
- Print and maintain production jobs as needed
- Detailed part of year end inventory
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Forklift Certified
- Must have one year of Materials/Inventory experience
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization
