Key Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated team of inventory specialists to ensure optimal stock levels and turnover rates at our distribution centers and retail outlets.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to anticipate product demand and make informed inventory decisions that align with our business goals.
• Establish and oversee inventory targets, ensuring customer demand is met while maintaining efficiency.
• Monitor and improve Fill Rate metrics, addressing any issues related to safety stock and delivery challenges to enhance inventory turnover and order fulfillment.
• Analyze and manage Inventory Performance Indicators, identifying and resolving issues with excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate inventory performance metrics to relevant teams, ensuring timely and actionable insights.
• Set and align service level expectations with internal teams, providing regular updates and addressing any service level concerns promptly.
• Mentor and guide the replenishment team, fostering skill development and career growth while evaluating performance and implementing improvement plans as needed.
• Play a pivotal role in the transition to a new ERP system, working with teams to establish effective inventory and replenishment policies and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory and replenishment operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, or a related business discipline.
• A decade of experience in purchasing and inventory management roles, with a proven track record of leadership and teamwork.
• In-depth knowledge of operations, reporting, and supplier processes, with experience in a multi-warehouse national distribution network.
• Proficiency in MRP, S&OP Processes, and Production/Inventory Planning & Scheduling.
• Advanced Excel skills and intermediate Access capabilities, with the ability to perform data analysis using AS400 queries.
• Competency in Word and PowerPoint for effective communication and presentation.
