In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for the shipping and receiving and fulfilling internal orders of parts and vehicles at Model 1 of Summerville. This role ensures that items are pulled accurately, received timely, and prepared for shipment or production. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse and inventory operations.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Order Fulfillment:
- Retrieve items from inventory based on order specifications and prepare them for shipment or internal use.
- Verify that items pulled match order details, including quantity, type, and condition.
- Ensure that all picked items are correctly labeled and documented according to company procedures.
- Shipping Duties:
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring they are correctly labeled and meet company standards.
- Generate and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
- Receiving Duties:
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Unpack and organize received goods, checking for any damage or discrepancies.
- Record and input received items into the inventory management system.
- Notify relevant departments or personnel of any issues with received goods, such as damage or shortages.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by reporting any discrepancies or issues with stock.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and proper storage.
- Organize and store inventory in an orderly manner to optimize space and accessibility.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain and file shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and submit reports on shipping and receiving activities, including any discrepancies or issues.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect items for damage or defects before pulling and packing.
- Ensure that all items pulled meet quality standards and are in good condition before shipment.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks as needed to move and manage inventory.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies regarding inventory handling and storage.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other warehouse staff, including inventory controllers, packers, and shipping personnel, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or delays in order fulfillment.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in processing shipments and maintaining inventory records.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with carriers, customers, and team members.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve issues related to shipping and receiving efficiently.
Physical Requirements
- May be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position.
- Must have good manual dexterity
- Must have the ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay Range:$18 to $22
