Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Coordinator to join our team. The Inventory Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring products are readily available for customers, and supporting the overall efficiency of our hardware store operations.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of all products.
Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.
Implement and maintain a systematic organization of products in the store.
Order Processing:
Collaborate with suppliers to place orders for replenishment.
Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
Communicate with various departments to understand inventory needs.
Receiving and Returns:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Process returns and exchanges, ensuring proper documentation.
Data Analysis:
Analyze sales trends and customer demand to optimize inventory levels.
Generate reports on inventory turnover, stockouts, and excess stock.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales team to understand customer preferences and product demand.
Communicate effectively with team members to address inventory-related issues.
Organization and Maintenance:
Ensure that the store shelves are well-stocked and products are neatly displayed.
Conduct regular audits to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory management or related field.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
