Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible to ensure the accuracy, existence and completeness of inventory within Joyleaf Vault. This includes being responsible for the fulfillment process of inventory, executing opening and closing procedures, management of inventory within systems (METRC & Sweed), oversee daily, mid-month, and end-of-month inventory counts, manage live inventory displays for compliance, and handle samples and marketing products, partners with CFO to maintain the integrity and financial accuracy of JoyLeaf's inventory system.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Replenishment of LIVE Inventory: Ensure proper inventory levels are reflected for customer purchases by replenishing LIVE inventory from backstock daily in the back of house (BOH). Ensure proper management of accurate RFID METRC tags
- Opening/Closing Procedures: Execute daily opening and closing procedures for inventory in the BOH.
- Intake of Deliveries: Partner with Purchasing and Receiving Supervisor to receive intake of the newly received into back stock inventory.
- RFID Tagging: Close RFID tags within METRC monthly to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Inventory Variances: Document inventory variances as they occur and execute necessary adjustments within METRC and Sweed, communicating with the CFO for accurate inventory reflection.
- Inventory Review: Review on-hand inventory daily to identify expiring and aged stock, providing visibility during weekly inventory meetings for promotional decisions to General Manager.
- Inventory Counts: Conduct daily, mid-month, and end-of-month inventory counts to ensure accuracy, existence, and completeness.
- Live Inventory Display Management: Manage live inventory displays daily to ensure they are tracked and compliant with RFID tagging and expiration requirements.
- Sample and Marketing Product Management: Collaborate with the GM and CFO to manage and release active inventory for samples and marketing expenses daily.
- Training: Responsible for the appropriate training of associates in their roles (fulfillment) and compliance procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in selling or customer service is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, METRC and experience implementing compliance measures.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and develop employees.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of cannabis products, industry trends, and regulations.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
This position requires the employee to frequently remain stationary (sit or stand) up to 50% of the time or more on occasion. Employees will frequently operate a computer and/or other machinery. Employees may be required to lift and carry boxes of more than 10 pounds frequently and may occasionally be required to lift boxes of more than 30 pounds. The person in this position frequently communicates with staff members, leadership and customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in various types of customer service, employee relations, business, and/or retail situations.
