Responsibilities:- Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and controlled: Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with various departments to verify transactions.
- Collaborate with Logistics, IT, and Retail Operations: Work closely with these teams to ensure robust inventory control and efficient operations across the organization.
- Coordinate Physical Inventories: Manage and oversee the planning and execution of physical inventory counts.
- Document inventory policies and procedures: Establish clear guidelines and methods for inventory management and control.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and enforcement of policies with management to ensure operational compliance.
- System and Process Implementation: help guide DC in the adoption and implementation of new technologies and processes that enhance inventory accuracy and reporting.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors: Provide necessary documentation and assist in audits related to inventory.
- Complete special projects: Take on additional projects as needed to support the inventory management objectives of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-4 years of experience in inventory control or related functions.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems: Familiarity with systems like JDA, WMS (Manhattan), SAP, and other relevant inventory or business intelligence tools.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to articulate findings and collaborate effectively with team members and across departments.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills: Strong capability to manage multiple tasks and solve complex issues related to inventory control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word: Essential for managing data and reporting.
- Experience in the retail sector: Understanding of retail operations can be advantageous, though not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision: Must be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
