POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient management of the company's inventory and logistics processes. This role focuses on monitoring and optimizing stock levels, reducing discrepancies, tracking inventory through logistics, and improving overall supply chain performance at our manufacturing facilities for Phos-Chek® Long Term Fire Retardants and Suppressant Foams in Rancho Cucamonga and McClellan, CA, as well as our Tolling partners and airbases across the United States.
The Inventory Control Manager works closely with the customer service, procurement, and production teams to ensure that materials and products are available to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory. This role also involves strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership. The Inventory Control Manager is to conduct all company related business in a professional, safe, and efficient manner and operate in full compliance with the Perimeter Solutions (PS) Controllership policies and the PS ESH&S policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of inventory control, including tracking, reporting, audits, variance analysis, and ERP system management to ensure accurate and efficient stock management.
• Develop and implement inventory strategies to minimize overstock, reduce shortages, and improve turnover, while coordinating with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment and optimal warehouse operations.
• Manage inter-company and intra-company stock transfers, as well as outbound shipments (domestic and international), ensuring timely deliveries and optimizing supplier relationships to reduce lead times.
• Support the Fiix program and troubleshoot ERP-related issues, including item numbers, BOM creation, work orders, assembly builds, and tracking of shipments across Rancho Cucamonga and off-site tolling facilities.
• Dispatch on-call customer orders during off-hours and manage requisitions for materials and services, collaborating closely with the business, sales, and customer service teams to address supply chain requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and ISO standards by conducting housekeeping inspections, daily security checks, and internal ISO audits.
• Handle procurement for plant and maintenance operations, investigate customer complaints related to Fire Safety 3rd party sites, and develop corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Record and report on blending and packaging for finished goods, supporting inventory accuracy across all facilities and providing insights for continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support overall operations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
• This position will be working in a manufacturing site atmosphere
• Extended work periods are to be expected during period end closing & fire season
• Work requirements include availability after hours when required
• Dispatch on call customer orders
• The nature of the business may expose the employee to moderate levels of physical and mental stress
• This position may require up to 30% travel
Experience/Skills Required:
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control and supply chain, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong ERP experience
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight, while consistently delivering high-quality results.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
• Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be a team player and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must maintain constant communication with Manager.
• The selected candidate must embrace change
• Strong people skills to include tact and diplomacy
• Strong Computer Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
