Inventory Control Coordinator - Alcom of Maine

POSITION:Inventory Control Coordinator STATUS:Non-exempt, hourly

REPORTS TO: Materials Manager DATE: 12/2024

DIRECT REPORTS: None LOCATION: Winslow, ME

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primary responsibilities include all materials inventory levels and communicating need for order placement.

FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Duties:

• Verifies the accuracy of inventory quantities on a daily basis by cycle counting items within storage locations.

• Researches and reconciles variances.

• Performs root cause and corrective actions to minimize stock variances.

• Utilizes existing materials reports to monitor safety stock and consumption.

• Support high emphasis on safe practices
• Recommend improvements to gain efficiency in materials movement and storage

Other Duties:

• Cleaning up debris and clutter in warehouse, on production floor, and surrounding premises

• Lifts/collects and appropriately handles loose or stray product
• May help with forklift or stockroom duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required

• MRP system experience desired, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy

• Must be able to multi-task and juggle conflicting priorities

• Must have the ability to accurately read a tape measure.

• Good grasp of basic math.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job operates in a warehouse environment as well as outdoors, including in inclement weather. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers and photocopiers.
