WAVE is currently looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team!
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, Inventory Control is responsible for managing the inventory and processes of the Aberdeen finished goods warehouse.
Effective & timely communication with supply chain, AWI - CFC team, customers and the warehouse team is critical to success. This position is accountable to hit safety, cost, schedule, and TCE performance metrics for specialty products. The Inventory Control will be responsible for continuous improvement, standard work & visual performance measures for inventory control & processes.

WAVE is currently looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team!
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, Inventory Control is responsible for managing the inventory and processes of the Aberdeen finished goods warehouse.

This position is accountable to hit safety, cost, schedule, and TCE performance metrics for specialty products. The Inventory Control will be responsible for continuous improvement, standard work & visual performance measures for inventory control & processes.
Leadership
- Lead a safe working environment, supporting the company's 8-Step Safety Process
- Support and demonstrates the WAVE Philosophy and Operating Principles in all activities
- Apply lean methods (6S, kaizen, standard work, visual management) to specialty processes
- Set & track customer service (TCE), productivity, quality goals for specialty products & processes
Results/Productivity
- Manage daily Zero ATP Reports activity for specialty products & processes
- Manage cycle count and cost control initiatives & processes
- Weekly Cycle counts - Complete mandatory 50 min locations
- Zero ATP - Complete daily list and send email to planning department when complete
- Email communications with different parts of the business. (Planners, Production Supervisors)
- Investigate all inventory concerns, questions, or differences found and make proper adjustments
- Manage the warehouse containment inventory and material status in SAP and SCALE
- Manage rework area of what is damaged vs good
- Open TO's and Ghost Tags - Research and clean up daily
- Dead LP - investigate and make proper deposition.
- Fix bin inventory accuracy - complete extra CC's throughout month
- Investigate all LP's found (Ghost / MIA)
- Manage multiple batch items when receiving inbound material
- Manage Reserve locations - Open locations
- Bulk area accuracy - pull pallets to find correct ones
- Monitor the use of superbins vs regular bins
- Consolidation of OF's and Bulk locations
- Relocate material from one location to another for space concerns
- Work with Production planners to determine longer runs and space requirements
- Work with pickers/put-away drivers on specific item strategy requirements and with manager on proper location utilization (SCALE/Configs)
- Communicate safety concerns and correct SOP's for each process.
- SAP/SCALE reconciliation report (w/manager)
- SCALE Insight screens - Inventory, Receipt, Cycle Count, Work (open)
- Vended Material Inbound Receipts - make sure everything was put away properly
- Promote excellence in housekeeping in areas involving specialty products & processes.
- Assist with year-end finished goods audit
Measures of Effectiveness
- Safety Performance: OSHA recordable & lost time injuries, employee engagement
- Make all specialty product performance measurable, visible & timely
- Financial Performance: Direct and period expense control
- Productivity: Overtime, cycle counts
- TCE: MIPs, fill rate, shipping errors/damage, claims and customer complaints associated with specialty products
- Employee satisfaction: Employee satisfaction surveys.
- Employee promises: Help, coach, and guide employees through their assigned annual promises.
- Project Management Assignments such as lean directives or process improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have forklift experience
- 1-3 years previous experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or warehouse environment required
- SAP, SCALE, WMS experience desired
- Detailed and process driven
- Strong ownership
- Customer advocate
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
