About the Job
The Inventory Control Clerk maintains accurate counts and quality control for inventory, ensures processes are followed for onboarding and off boarding items. Assists with reconciling inventories through cycle counts and works with Inventory Control Specialist and Supply Chain Manager.
Hiring Range: $19.60/hour to $25.00/hour, depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. Must be flexible to work as early as 6am when needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs item Quality Control check for all new stock items.
- Monitors stock of inventory and communicates any irregularities or stock outs.
- Assists with record keeping of back up sources for high demand and substitute items.
- Maintains accurate entries of ABC classification in the system.
- Responsible for identifying, labeling and updating the location of all items on shelves and in the inventory system.
- Collaborates with Warehouse Supervisor and Inventory Control Specialist to understand what new items may need shelf space and forms a plan to store and organize new stock items.
- Manage stock items through their life cycle.
- Involvement in weekly backorder management call and process
- Performs frequent cycle counts of physical inventory and delivers results to Inventory Control Specialist to input results into ERP, with self inputs at times. Assists with identifying key learnings and resolve any variances.
- Assists with annual physical inventory audits.
- Prepares and documents returns, expirations, and inventory, following established procedures.
- Encourage process improvement opportunities with the warehouse on inventory management by working with Warehouse Supervisor for follow through.
- Position will follow guidelines and procedures outlined in the Ancillary Utilization Plan.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Basic keyboarding skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
- Clerical, word processing, and general office skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience with computerized inventory systems required.
- Must be able to obtain Pharmacy Assistant Certification. Paid for by Vancouver Clinic.
Pay Range:

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
