Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of the Inventory Clerk Senior is overseeing and assuring accurate and timely distribution and transporting of supplies and items throughout Bassett Healthcare Network and Medical Center by way of Network Distribution staff. Scanning and stocking par locations. Delivering packages to units thought the network and obtaining signatures for all deliveries. Assisting other department within the respective facility of special deliveries.
- Assures accurate and timely distribution and transporting of supplies and items throughout Bassett Healthcare Network and Medical Center.
- Coordinates all Network Courier distribution activity (may include courier services) to relative Bassett Healthcare Network and Medical Center logistics.
- Communicates daily and as needed with Network Courier management staff, dispatchers and couriers to assure timely accurate courier service throughout the Bassett Network.
- Monitors distribution schedules and reports any issues to Manager, Materials Services.
- There will also be cross training at other BHN facilities, and travel would be required.
- Training new staff in all aspects of the inventory clerk.
- Assures all Bassett Healthcare Network supplies and equipment are accurately received, stocked, distributed and shipped.
- Assures all shipments are inspected, reporting any damages, shortages, and incorrect shipments to the appropriate buyer by the end of the day of receipt, as measured by feedback.
- Assures all items are accurately received in Infor materials management system with no more than three errors per month, as measure by feedback, supervisory review, and buyer messages.
- Assures all packing slips and delivery tickets are filed, with accuracy rate of more than three errors per year as measured by annual random check on one file of 100 Purchase Order delivery tickets.
- Assures ordering, restocking, and adjustments of par level inventories as appropriate, cooperatively working with clinical areas in maintaining med/surg supply needs as measured by customer feedback.
- Assures product expiration dates and package integrity are checked and maintained with no more than one exception per year, as measured by supervisory observation.
- Assures stocking of shelves and issuing of product according to departmental policy and FIFO procedure, with no more than one exception per year, as measured by supervisory observation.
- Assures work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner as measured by supervisory observation.
- Assures correct product and quantities are issued in Infor system with no more than five exceptions per year as measured by customer feedback and supervisory review of pick lists.
- Assures stock items are picked, packed and shipped appropriately with no more than two exceptions per year as measured by supervisory observation and review of pick lists, as well as customer feedback.
- Participates in routine and year-end inventory counts as measured by supervisory observation.
- Assures products are delivered to the proper location/individual by the end of the day with two-three exceptions per year as measured by customer feedback and supervisory observation.
- Assures appropriate receipt signature and initials are obtained on delivery slips with three-four exceptions per year as measured by supervisory review of Delivery Slips.
- Assures vehicle inspections are completed and documentation submitted according to departmental policy with one exception per year as measure by supervisory observation and review of vehicle check lists.
- Assures items are shipped appropriately, entering correct data into shipping system and verifying shipping documents are completed appropriately, by the end of the day with no more than two exceptions per year as measured by supervisory review.
- Assures shipping paperwork is filed appropriately with one exception per year as measure by supervisory review.
- Keeps well-informed regarding Bassett Healthcare, optimizes communication, and promotes the integrity and reputation of the department and institution.
- Answers and responds to telephone and/or pager calls properly, directing unanswered questions/concerns to the appropriate individual/department as measured by customer feedback and supervisory observation.
- Participates in training programs and departmental and divisional meetings as measured by supervisory observation.
- Will follow all Bassett Healthcare policies and procedures as measured by supervisory review.
- Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED, highly preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years warehouse or healthcare inventory supply management experience, required
Licensure/Certifications:
- Clean NYS Driver’s License, required
- US Defensive Driving Council Certified, preferred

Physical Requirements:
