Volt is immediately hiring an Inventory Accounting Analyst in CITY INDUSTRY, California 91748
As an Inventory Accounting Analyst, you will be.
- Primary responsibility of the Inventory Accounting Analyst is to maintain data integrity in the SAP system and conduct accounting, financial, and regulatory research and analysis.
- Finding root causes for discrepancies by researching transaction history in the system, identifying trends or common errors and suggesting corrective actions, and training personnel on procedures are also primary functions.
- Effectively interact on a timely basis, via appropriate communication media, with necessary personnel and maintain a thorough knowledge of the operating system
- Lead the cycle count process, conduct both scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts
- Count and validate product or material in stock,
- Analyze cycle variances, investigate root causes and provide explanation for any discrepancies.
- Provide recommendation to improve inventory control / management.
- Generate obsolete / blocked material reports and communicate to appropriate personnel.
- Research transactional history in the system to identify trends and common errors/mistakes; suggest corrective actions
- Prepare accounting entries related to inventory for month end close.
- Ensure compliance with Security and Exchange Commission regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, and other accounting and regulatory requirements
- Assist in inventory control/departmental special projects
- Responsible for reporting daily inventory Key Performance Indicators
- Responsible for all inventory transactions at the plant and 3PL (Raw & Pack).
- Daily verification of production postings to ensure proper inventory is reported.
- Handle milk receipts and reconciliation. Ensure inventory accuracy.
- Conduct physical inventory when the required monthly inventories are required by corporate.
- Keep Plant Controller, Logistics Manager and Plant Manager informed of any inventory issues.
- Analyzes outside warehouse inventory levels and reconciliation.
- Analyzes all inventory variances, understand factors driving variance and reports them to plant management.
- Assist with quarterly and annual audits
- Other duties as assigned
Key skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- Inventory analysis experience.
- Manufacturing experience a plus
Location: CITY INDUSTRY, California 91748
Duration: 6 Months contract
Pay: $28- 30/hr
Shift Timing- 1st shift.
