Interventional Cardiology Opportunity on the Gulf Coast of Florida! - First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System

First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a BC/BE Interventional Cardiologist to join an established and busy practice of seven (7) Cardiologists and seven (7) APPs.  The group is currently seeking an additional non-structural interventional cardiologist due to demand and expansion. This is an exceptional growth opportunity for an experienced interventionalist or recent graduate to join the market predominant group within a newly constructed facility with plans for further future expansion.

Opened in 2021, SMH-Venice Hospital is located on a 65-acre campus and features a 365,000-square-foot, 3-story hospital currently licensed for 178 private patient suites, a 28-bed emergency care center, and 8 surgical suites. Construction continues into 2024 to add 34 additional private rooms as well as expansion of the ER to 61 rooms, and space created to add 8 more surgical suites.  SMH-Venice was designed with a growing community in mind and a master plan of providing 400 private inpatient suites with complementary sized emergency room and surgery services to ensure quality care and access.

Opportunity:

• Position needed to support increased patient demand.
• Be busy day one – you will have a robust and dedicated referral network within the community.
• Call will be 1:6 at full complement.
• Experienced, seasoned professional staff who work collaboratively as a team.
• New 14,000 sq. ft. office space with state-of- the-art equipment for echocardiography and stress testing. The office also supports MUGA scans and a Coumadin and Pacemaker Clinic.
• The Hospital is equipped with two (2) newstate-of-the-art Cath Labs, fully staffed and able to accommodate current and projected volumes.

Practice specialization includes:

• Non-Invasive Imaging: Stress (Nuclear/Echo), Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, Vascular Ultrasound, Holter/Event/EKG, CTA.
• Interventional Cardiology: Cardiac catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Mechanical circulatory support devices, Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Structural Heart Interventions, Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices, Endovascular thrombectomy
