International Visitor Representative Job Summary:
Under general supervision, is responsible for providing assistance to foreign visitors and travelers arriving in the Federal Inspections Station (FIS) of the International Airport. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. Exercises no supervision.
International Visitor Representative Responsibilities:
- Greets and directs arriving international passengers as they enter the Federal Inspections Station area of the airport .
- Reviews federal forms as passengers deplane.
- Provides interpretation services as needed between passengers and Federal Inspections Station officials.
- Provides escort for designated travelers assisting them to Reception Room.
- Provides information regarding airport facilities, ground transportation, tourist attractions and the city in general.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
International Visitor Representative Knowledge & Experience:
- One year of college from an accredited college or university.
- One year of public contact experience.
- Pass U.S. customs security clearance requirements.
- Able to speak, write and read fluent German
- Knowledge of different cultures, traditions, and protocols.
- Knowledge of proper public contact.
- Ability to be outgoing and friendly when greeting international visitors.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely when relaying directions or other information.
- Ability to speak a designated foreign language.
- Ability to establish and maintain good public relations with those in contact in the course of work.
- Ability to deal with large groups of people on a regular basis.
Pay Rate & Schedule:
- $19.07/hour
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm
