Our client, a Medium Sized CPA Firm in the Boston area with multiple locations, seeks an International Tax Staff candidate to join their team. This position is remote with the exception of going into the office 1 day a MONTH!
The responsibilities of the International Tax Staff position include working directly with other tax professionals, their clients, and other advisors to prepare federal and state income tax returns. You will also utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions.

- Demonstrates working knowledge of tax preparation at both the federal and state(s) levels, including but not limited to returns of individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in resolving problems and preparing analyses
- Understands own strengths and weaknesses and, with the help of others, undertakes a program of self-development
- Keeps supervisors informed of budget variations and other issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and review U.S. federal and state returns for U.S. residents, expatriates, and foreign nationals
- Adhere to reporting requirements related to foreign income, foreign trusts, foreign tax credits, foreign assets, and controlled foreign corporations
- Assist with preparation of IRS Streamlined and Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) filings for clients disclosing foreign assets and income through IRS amnesty programs
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field
- Advanced degree in accounting preferred
- CPA certification (active or in process) preferred
- One or more year(s)’ experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
