Our client, a Medium Sized CPA Firm in the Boston area with multiple locations, seeks an International Tax Senior candidate to join their team. This position is remote with the exception of going into the office 1 day a MONTH!
The responsibilities of the Tax Senior position include working directly with other tax professionals, their clients, and other advisors to prepare federal and state income tax returns. You will also utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions.

- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of tax preparation at both the federal and state(s) levels, including but not limited to returns of individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in resolving problems and preparing analyses
- Prioritizes workload and assists staff in developing prioritization skills
- Motivates staff via professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
- Prepare and review U.S. federal and state returns for U.S. residents, expatriates, and foreign nationals
- Adhere to reporting requirements related to foreign income, foreign trusts, foreign tax credits, foreign assets, and controlled foreign corporations
- Assist with preparation of IRS Streamlined and Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) filings for clients disclosing foreign assets and income through IRS amnesty programs
- Two or more years’ experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
- Masters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor degrees may be considered)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
