Our esteemed organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent International Tax Director to join our Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to oversee all aspects of our international tax operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing tax strategies, managing tax risks, ensuring compliance with federal tax laws, and providing expert guidance on all tax-related matters. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of international tax laws, federal tax regulations, and audit procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and international jurisdictions.
- Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
- Oversee the preparation and review of international components of the US Federal tax return including Forms 5471, 8858, and 1118 and related work papers.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
- Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role and at least 7 years of experience in an international tax role.
- Solid understanding and experience with federal and international tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience with corporate audits.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to examine, develop, and implement new strategies and procedures.
