Are you passionate about numbers, tax laws, and the technology industry? Our leading tech firm is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent International Tax Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of technology while making a significant impact on our business's financial health and growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our domestic and international tax strategy, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, and optimizing our tax position. This role requires a deep understanding of SALT (State and Local Tax), international tax, and proficiency in Sage or equivalent financial software.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns on a timely basis.
2. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated international, federal, state, and local income tax returns.
3. Conduct research and planning to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance with domestic and international tax laws.
4. Manage tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities, ensuring proper representation of facts and negotiation of claims.
5. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
6. Manage the company's tax reporting process, including estimates, extensions, year-end analysis, and provide advice on the tax impact of various corporate strategies.
7. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
8. Use Sage or equivalent financial software to maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or CPA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or Tax Preparer.
3. Advanced knowledge of tax laws, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
4. Proficiency in Sage or equivalent financial software.
5. Strong experience with SALT (State and Local Tax) and international tax.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
10. Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
