International Sales Director - Nili Lotan New York

About The Role

Nili Lotan is seeking an International Sales Director to manage and grow its global women's wholesale business. This role will maximize existing international partnerships while developing and executing a global expansion strategy. Responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, building key relationships, and expanding distribution with top-tier luxury partners throughout APAC and South America.

Responsibilities

DISTRIBUTION

• Work with EVP of Wholesale to build out global wholesale distribution strategy, targeting top-tier luxury retail partners.
• Work with our European and Korean distributors to manage and maximize business in their territories.
• Manage existing business with Net-a-Porter, My Theresa, and Le Bon Marche.
• Build and execute phased plan to strategically expand business into APAC and South America.

PRE-SEASON MANAGEMENT

• Work with accounts during New York and Paris markets seasonally to build account-appropriate assortments that represent the collection and brand vision globally.
• Secure orders from accounts to achieve market budget.
• Enter orders into Joor and/or RLM, ensuring that all information is accurate and submitted by our order deadline.
• Communicate with accounts any changes or updates that need to be made to their orders.
• Work with internal and account marketing teams to build marketing strategy in support of the growing business in key territories.

IN-SEASON MANAGEMENT

• Communicate regularly with accounts to gain insight into their sales performance, customer base, business needs, and opportunities.
• Support accounts on day-to-day business needs to ensure business is maximized.
• Work with accounts on reorders to drive account sales and achieve internal reorder targets.
• Review selling regularly to gain understanding of and react to region-specific opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally to develop in-store experiences that represent the brand globally.
• Travel to key markets seasonally to support stores, gain insights into customer profiles and business opportunities, and prospect new accounts.
• Work with online accounts to ensure all product is shot and launched on time, brand styling is in line with our brand vision, and product is properly supported across retailer sites throughout category and trend shops.
• Relay product feedback to internal Product Development team to ensure we are responding to region-specific client needs and maximizing opportunities.

ORDER MAINTENANCE AND SHIPPING

• Ensure all orders are accurate in our system.
• Work with logistics team to monitor account shipping and ensure that orders are flowing properly in accordance with account ship windows.
• Work with logistics to ensure international compliance is met.
• Communicate with accounts if any action is needed on their end to secure payment and ship.
• Communicate with accounts any order delays and secure extensions as needed.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of global luxury wholesale experience.
• Relationships with top tier major partners and specialty stores globally.
• APAC sales experience is a must.
• Understanding of retail math, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in excel.
• Ability to travel for 4 Market campaigns annually, as well as for seasonal store visits as needed.

Nili Lotan is a highly acclaimed ready-to-wear designer based in New York City. A mother of three, she lives in Tribeca with her husband, singer songwriter, David Broza. After graduating from Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel Aviv, Lotan moved to New York where she led design for some of the industry’s most respected names including Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne and Nautica. Lotan launched her eponymous brand in 2003, grounded in the belief that a wardrobe should function as an extension of oneself. Her philosophy is that clothes should be clean, sophisticated and functional, offering elements for self-expression. Lotan’s design process is highly intuitive. She is inspired by women with a strong sense of personal style, and draws from art, music and rock n’ roll to design her collection. By designing pieces she herself wants to wear, Lotan’s collection instinctively resonate with a woman’s lifestyle.
