The International Grocery Clerk is an important position within the store. Many customers make their decisions to shop at our store because of the quality and variety of our departments and specifically the many grocery items that we make available to them. This position is responsible for creating an appealing presentation of the tremendous variety and selection of products that we offer. Our customers trust the safety of the products we sell. We must do everything to give them the right price and the right items when they want it. The International grocery clerk can make the difference in sales by the way he or she does their job. We need to treat each individual like a guest in our homewith courtesy, friendliness and the respect that they deserve. Observe all company policies and procedures; Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and adhere to dress code regulations; Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations; Assist in monitoring procedures for restocking to ensure accuracy, proper product rotation and quality protection; Open cartons properly to control potential for damage to goods and handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy; Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control;

Able to read, write and speak English with reasonable proficiency Possesses basic math skills Able to communicate effectively with customer, associates, and others Friendly and pleasant Available in terms of scheduling hours Reliable and good work ethic. Clean, presentable appearance Good customer service skills Good team player; Able to work with fellow associates to achieve goals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls; The employee must frequently walk and reach with the hands, arms and occasionally crouch or kneel. Be able to lift or exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently fit cases of product ranging from 12 to 45 pounds. Be able to climb a ladder to retrieve items stored on elevated shelves and other storage areas. Be able to sweep and mop floors, dust and face shelves, and lift and carry out trash containers to be emptied in an outside bin;
