The International Compliance Manager has the responsibility for coordinating, tracking, and communicating requested international registrations leading to the business goal of new or expanded sales into new markets. This includes the organization of all associated documentation. The position will work with internal customers and resources as well as outside regulatory consultants to determine the required registration processes by market and country. This role will also maintain the MSG Organic program and manage the completion of new and ongoing customer quality program inquiries as the key corporate contact. Success will be measured by consistent acceptance of registered products by importing markets and the accurate tracking and communication of registration projects, compliance to requirements of the USDA Organic Program, and timely completion of requested customer questionnaires.
Essential Duties:
- Research and prepare global registration dossiers to obtain product registrations in markets worldwide.
- Provide consistent communication of registration projects and progress.
- Respond effectively to international government agencies regarding inquiries/requests for additional support information.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of regulatory files and tracking databases.
- Ability to maintain a supportive partnership with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales/Marketing, and QA to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to make sound judgment decisions regarding registration timelines which ultimately effect inventory plans, sales, and operations goals.
- Ability to track and monitor progress of plant and product submissions, approvals, and renewals.
- Monitor international government agency laws and regulations through websites and publications for any changes potentially MSG products.
- Participate, as directed, in new product development teams to ensure understanding of global regulatory requirements and projected regulatory costs.
- Liaise with regulators, regulatory agents, contract manufacturers, regulatory consultants, and other business partners.
- An understanding of USDA Organic program requirements
- Ability to track and monitor progress of customer documentation requests with goal of timely submission of requested documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in food product registrations; international registration experience preferred
- Orientation for detailed work with emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
- Requires strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to all levels of management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
- A team player who wants to contribute to a thriving culture.
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Document Administration or similar area.
- Project management experience preferred.
