Job Title: Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician

Location: Lake Charles, LA area

Salary: $340k+ bonus

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: As a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician at our rural hospital, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to our patients. Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilize the CPSI Rural Health Medical Record system to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Work closely with medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1-3) with rounding on patients during the day, with minimal call requirements due to ER physician coverage after 5pm.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education to stay abreast of best practices and advancements in primary care.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Louisiana.
• Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Willingness to embrace technology and adapt to electronic medical record systems.
• Desire to work in a rural healthcare setting and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.
