Job Description
The Material Planning/Expeditor acts as a liaison between Material planning, Vendors and Receiving. This position assists in resolving vendor-related issues related to specifications, timing, quantity, and receiving. Collects, maintains, and coordinates system data and follows up with key stakeholders as needed.
Job Duties
Co-ordinate and expedite suppliers to ensure deliveries meet requirements and dates for production.
Lead meeting with suppliers and planning team on material recovery
Communicating with Planners on delays to ensure ongoing processes are proactively reviewed to minimize impact to the business
Daily submission of reports to suppliers listing all unacknowledged and overdue order lines
Working closely with inbound logistics to ensure goods receipts are promptly received in
Use daily reports, providing specific details to the purchasing department to efficiently follow-up on orders
Will be asked to help with general clerical in the planning department to complete
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Competent IT user including MS Office & Excel
Entry Level Training on our (MRP) systems will be provided.
An understanding of manufacturing/production and production processes would be advantageous
Great communication and negotiation skills
Outstanding organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask in high pressure situations
