Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for a Communcations Specialist to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position. Please include a cover letter and three writing samples with your application!
Responsibilities
We have an exciting career opportunity for a versatile communications professional to join our Firmwide Communications team in our Raleigh, NC, office. This role requires a blend of strong communication and writing skills to identify, develop, and produce compelling content for internal and external audiences.
+ Write and edit content for employee communications, intranet, and external website
+ Promote employee success and company culture through written storytelling
+ Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency
+ Support other communications department activities as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills:
+ Applicable four-year degree
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Desired Skills:
1-2 years post-graduate experience
+ Familiarity with Asana, SharePoint, Sociabble (or other content management platforms), WordPress, and other communication tools
+ Understanding of metrics and measurement techniques related to communications effectiveness and impact
+ Relevant internal communications internship preferred
+ Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style
