Job Description/Responsibilities:The Internal Communications Analyst is responsible for implementing the internal communications strategy to drive employee engagement to enable an informed and motivated workforce. This role involves communications message and channel development and management, with a focus on analyzing and evaluating effectiveness. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Planning:
- Work with communications manager and other stakeholders to develop and execute internal communication plans and initiatives that align with company goals and values.
- Work closely with other departments to support overall companywide internal messaging needs and ensure consistent information dissemination through appropriate channels.
- Present content and/or facilitate select communication activities, including regular HR organizational meetings and targeted training programs.
Content Creation and Management:
- Create, edit, and distribute engaging internal communications, including emails, digital bulletin board notices, and intranet content Additional mediums can include video and graphic design.
- Maintain an internal content calendar to ensure timely, consistent, and coordinated messaging.
- Design and manage content for company meetings, town halls, HR meetings, and employee engagement events.
- Provide change management communications support for company-wide projects as needed.
- Train field/extended network resources on content development and management of digital bulletin boards and other tools.
- Organize and maintain a repository of digital assets, templates, and other standardized tools for use by the HR organization.
- Collaborate with other key stakeholders to deliver targeted messaging to some external platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide support on various employee survey and 360-degree feedback activities, including consultation with sponsors, survey tool preparation, and administrative execution of tools.
- Collect and analyze data on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts, such as engagement metrics, feedback, and employee surveys.
- Regularly create reports on key performance indicators and trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including external communications resources, to align company messaging and ensure consistent information dissemination.
- Work with HR Business Partners to coordinate and distribute centralized communication materials within their facilities.
- Support change management leaders in project application.
Engagement survey preparation & analysis:
- Support the Talent/OD organization in the preparation and analysis of bi-annual engagement surveys and periodic pulse surveys.
- Develop and distribute toolkit materials for survey implementation and data collection.
- Serve as a point of contact for team members during the distribution of the annual survey and execution of pulse surveys.
To be successful in the role, you'll need these requireements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in internal communications, journalism, marketing, employee engagement, or related roles.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to interpret engagement data.
- Proficiency with communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, intranet, SharePoint, Canva, and digital bulletin board systems).
- Familiarity and proficiency with targeted external, social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and levels of the organization.
