Internal Auditor
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Auditor to support our Project Managed Adjusting team, who deal with home claims up to £100,000. The role will primarily be based in Glasgow. The successful applicant will carry out regular reviews of files and provide feedback to support development of colleagues and ensure they meet our procedures and our clients’ processes. As an Auditor, you will need to understand our service strategy, have the ability to build rapport & trust and have strong coaching skills. You will work alongside the Operational and Technical Team Managers to deliver technical and service excellence in pro-active claims handling and management. In particular, the key strands to the job will encompass audit which links directly into our training program, complaints resolution and root cause analysis, technical development of staff, and service improvement.
Key audit responsibilities will include:
Undertaking internal audits covering technical, service and process requirements
Undertaking pre audit reviews alongside Managers in readiness for client audits
Identifying knowledge gaps and areas of development, addressing these through coaching and feedback to managers and the training team
Reviewing complaints, undertaking root cause analysis and providing staff feedback
Ensuring that staff meet company processes and procedures assessments by providing advice and guidance to colleagues and managers within PMA
Displaying behaviours consistent with the development of a culture which reflects our core values
Insurance qualifications are desirable, but equal consideration will also be given to those with the relevant experience
You will have/be:
Experience in dealing with all aspects of domestic home claims
Self-motivated and capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to make independent decisions
Excellent Customer Service skills within an office environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
Experience of working to monthly targets
Strong communication skills - both written & oral, and capable of influencing others
IT literacy
