Overview:

Department: Finance

Mentor's Title: Director, Finance

Start Date: May 2024

Anticipated Duration: Summer

Compensation: Paid

Responsibilities:

• This position will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement, preparation, and analysis
• Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist in preparing financial statement & analysis
• Assist accounting managers with reports, etc
• Assist with A/P & A/R functions
• Assist in accounting schedules & filing
• Keying data into automated system and verifying input for large OPTIOConversion Project
• Respond to routine questions related to area of responsibility
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Completed at least two Accounting courses at college level
• A working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet application is required

 

Education & Experience:

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing an associate degree or higher at the sophmore level or above
• Desired Major: Accounting
