Intern-Quality Assurance Engineer - General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems

Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour.

GD-OTS is looking for an Intern - Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - 1st Shift to join our Lincoln, NE organization.  We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. This is a year-round internship (work during the school year and through summer).

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including; rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

• Support the Quality Control Assurance group in all aspects of Quality development. This would include:
• Interfacing with Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Receiving inspection personnel.
• Writing instructions, working with the Supply Chain department to provide solutions to production solutions.
• Working with Lean Teams to make processes more efficient.
• Creating Nonconformances and Corrective actions for suppliers
• Monitoring and updating the Approved supplier listing.
• Engaging with Engineering teams to resolve supplier issues.

Completed a minimum of 2 years in an Engineering discipline, working towards a BS.

This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.
