About the Job
The HR Planning, Planning, Policies, Processes and Compensation Intern is responsible for a broad range of HR Steering day-to-day and project topics, incl. strategic HR instruments, planning, steering, compensation, grading and working time in the Region Americas which includes Canada, US, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Steer and coordinate the cooperation of local HR and regional / central HR functions
- Steer implementation of BMW group wide HR concepts, policies, instruments, processes and systems for the above mentioned topics for the supported entities
- Plan, steer and implement communication about relevant HR topics within supported entities as well as with BMW HQ
- Support target management process for HR
- Provide input to the HR Region about local perspectives on operative and strategic HR topics and about results of HR processes on local level as well as contribute to respective regional and central initiatives/ projects
- Support and coordinate transformation and organizational development projects as mandated by HQ or local team

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $25.30.
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.20.
The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or university
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application
- Field of study: HR/Psych/Business degree or another applicable field (master's degree student preferred)
- Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
- Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international students only)
- Microsoft Office (considerable experience in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Interest/experience in collaboration platforms and new technologies (e.g., Microsoft TEAMS, Power BI, Confluence)
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work self-directedly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple assignments
- International experience, preferably from BMW Headquarters
