Position Summary
Neogene Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated individual in the fields of engineering to join the Summer Internship Program for 29 hours per week! We are looking for an individual who seeks day-to-day engineering activities, results-oriented, possess great attitude, demonstrate creativity and innovation, work efficiently, and have a passion to learn.
The Maintenance Specialist Intern is responsible for working with the Facilities & Engineering teams to help perform data entry of Process, Lab, and Facility Equipment into Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and learn about Asset Lifecycle. This internship is based in Santa Monica, CA office and reports to the Sr. Director of Facilities & Engineering.
Job assignments are usually for the summer for short periods during breaks from school.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering the required info to add a new equipment into the CMMS.
- Assist in inputting existing equipment list from an existing spreadsheet database into CMMS.
- Work under the guidance engineers to complete assigned work.
- Review work for completeness and accuracy.
Education and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing.
- Must be enrolled in a technical degree with hands-on repair experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Teams
- Detail oriented & Ability to follow directions.
- Basic working knowledge of mechanical & electrical terminology
