Your new role
Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2025 internship program at our office located in Arlington, VA office. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. The program will provide internship participants with the opportunity to gain experience working in one or more practice areas. Our goal is to afford our interns experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding an experience within their field of interest.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will work with multiple project managers in our office to help conduct analysis of environmental data and develop client deliverables (reports, permit applications and technical analyses). The types of projects and expected day-to-day tasks may include one or more of the following:
- Research and document review; conduct data compilation, review, QC, and analysis;
- Review of governmental agency reports, databases, regulations, correspondence, and historical records to understand environmental contamination and compliance concerns at industrial sites;
- Analysis of regulatory programs, sustainability/ESG (environmental, social, and governance) issues, and EHS (environmental, health, and safety) risks relevant to certain industry sectors or companies;
- Preparation of draft data visualization or written summary deliverables for internal and external audiences; and
- Site visits to local industrial sites with other Ramboll team members (upon completion of health and safety orientation and training) to conduct visual observations and interviews.
About you

- Candidates should be working toward a B.S or M.S degree in a relevant engineering, geology, science, or chemistry field with an interest in pursuing a career in environmental consulting.
- Candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above are strongly preferred. Candidates with the completion of 4 college semesters (rising Junior status) are strongly preferred.
