Intern - Engineering and Technology for CTO Office - Coherent Corp.

• Become familiar with simulation tools and software including Matlab, OptSim, and Python
• Provide assistance with modeling of high-speed, WDM, datacom links
• Perform laboratory measurements of optical links

• MS or Ph.D. student in EE, Physics, or Computer Science
• Familiarity with some simulation tools used in fiberoptics, e.g. Matlab, Python
• Familiar with datacom test equipment

• Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.

• This position requires onsite presence.
• Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
• Interaction with team members.

• Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
