Position Summary: This position is responsible for working closely with our Engineering, Project Management, Planning, and Production departments on the engineering, planning, and construction of our multiple ocean-going ATB new construction projects, as well as having the opportunity to be involved in repair projects, vessel repowering, conversions, and bid work at our vast, 63-acre facility. Significant heavy manufacturing takes place both in several fab shops, as well as on the waterfront. Interns will have a mentor group who will act as a resource and point of contact for everything from our organization, vessels, and customers, to life in Door County.
Detailed Description:
* Technical review of drawings and hands-on inspection of completed work
* Coordination of various trade activities involved with all aspects of ship construction and repair
* Creation and documentation of test memorandums
* Troubleshooting various planning and engineering challenges as they arise
* Research and develop solutions to accommodate various customer needs
* Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma
* Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program relating to the engineering field
Desired Qualifications:
* Junior, Senior, or graduate level
* Advanced coursework in the fields of Construction Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Structural Engineering
* Familiarity with AutoCAD, modeling and drafting software
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to interact at all levels within the organization
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
