This position is part of Novanta’s ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world’s leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Primary Responsibilities
- Design, build, and debug test hardware used in Mechanical verification testing.
- Develop Mechanical test plans for product verification and quantification of characteristics.
- Write reports documenting testing results.
- Propose and/or implement design changes to existing product.
- Evaluate nonconformance on components and/or assemblies.
- Collaborate across a wide variety of organizations (Engineering, Quality, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing)
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Ability to utilize SolidWorks (preferable) or other 3D aided drafting software.
- Ability to use simple hand tools.
- Experience with standard measurement and test equipment. (Calipers, Dial Indicators, Load Cells, etc....)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a US citizen or green card holder
- Must have dependable transportation.
- GPA of 3.5+
Management Prefers
- Experience and/or participation with a collegiate Motorsports team. Not required.
- Good SolidWorks skills.
- Good drawing practices, including application of GD&T
