Intern - Credit Risk - Valley National Bank

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Portfolio management reporting.
* Perform financial analysis on credits.
* Assist and observe the commercial lending underwriting process.
* Assist the credit department on their annual review of commercial credits.
* Prepare cash flows, debt to income, and loan to value worksheets.
* Enter data for financial covenants.
* Financial Covenant review, input, and testing.



Required Skills:


* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite.
* Detail oriented and organized.
* Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
* Problem solving skills.
* Displays a high level of confidentiality.

Required Experience:



* High school diploma or GED and enrollment in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
* Enrollment in a 4-year college or university with a concentration in Economics, Finance, or Business preferred.
