/PROJECT:The Corporate Compliance Intern will support multiple projects, including but not limited to:

- Gathering data, reviewing documentation, conducting interviews, and performing analysis to monitor for compliance with various policies
- Identifying and analyzing various data sets to identify risk factors for compliance
- Leveraging technology to develop and/or improve compliance metrics
- Assessing current processes for opportunities for automation to increase efficiencies
- Developing training content for corporate compliance policies
- Tracking violations of compliance policies and documenting remediation of violations where appropriate
- Conducting various due diligence activities in support of BioMarin’s anti-bribery anti-corruption program
- Reviewing third-party contracts with key high-risk vendors, and conducting data analysis to ensure compliance with contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to organize projects and work responsibilities, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in dashboarding tools such as PowerBI
- Open to Interns pursuing undergrad or graduate degrees across a range of areas (Business, Law, Finance, Communications, Human Services, etc.).
- Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles. Some positions will be open to remote interns, but employee must be within United States borders.
