In this position, you will be supporting the sales organization for the Diagnostics division of Hologic. This position is responsible for reviewing and/or developing sales contracts in a high volume and fast-paced environment and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure sales contract documents are followed and adhere to Hologic legal terms, conditions, and policies.
Throughout the 10-12 weeks you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:
+ Research: pricing, existing contracts
+ Develop key relationships with business area stakeholders
+ Collaborate with area stakeholders to identify and refine strategies and processes to support Hologic interests
+ Review, draft and negotiate standard sales contracts
+ Prepare and/or participate in the preparation of sales proposals, agreements and related documents including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and cross-divisional customer contracts
+ Collaborate with Contracts Specialists, along with Hologic’s Legal and other stakeholders to support the negotiations of customer contract terms and conditions, and ensure sales contracts are consistent with Hologic’s terms, conditions, policies and procedures
+ Coordinate review and input from appropriate business functions and cross-functional teams as needed to complete contracting documents
+ Coordinate with the other members of the Contracts team to ensure effective workflow, consistent process execution and unified approaches throughout the Contracts department
+ Negotiate and drive positive resolution of contractual issues or disputes when required
+ Participate in process improvement projects for Contracts department
+ Participate in all required job training and development courses and seminars
We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:
+ Able to work full-time over the summer months (May/June - August/Sept)
+ Currently enrolled in a law degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship
+ Enrolled in Law School, fits well with undergrad in Business, Science, Economics
+ Detail Oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Basic knowledge of contract law
+ Redlining experience
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
+ Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision
+ Negotiating and relationship-building skills
+ Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Salesforce experience a plus
+ Ability to work onsite at our San Diego, CA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided
The hourly pay range for this role is $23 - $30 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
