Summary - basic function of the role
Enerpac Tool Group has identified 2024 as the year for their first Greenhouse Gas Inventory according to GHG Protocol Guidance. This inventory will be used as a new baseline to help set corporate targets for GHG reduction
The intern will identify and calculate greenhouse gas emissions for Scopes 1 & 2 throughout Enerpac Tool Group's operational control. The ten-week project will include the following assignments:
Skills and Competencies
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of Greenhouse Gas Protocol guidance
- Experience collecting, tracking, and conducting data analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others to reach mutually agreeable outcomes across functions and regions.
- Exceptional project management capabilities
- Analytical mindset with ability to analyze and present data
- Strong communicator who can articulate verbally and in writing effectively complex topics that are unfamiliar to decision makers.
Education and Experience
- University-level education in sustainability or related field
- Preference for graduate level experience, depending on project
- Major(s): Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering
Physical Demands
Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
Work Environment
Primary work environment is remote or a temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different service job sites where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required, including the usage of respiratory protective equipment, hearing protection, and fall protection. Employee will be exposed to low levels of noise in the office and elevated levels of noise on job sites.
