In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 21 to $30 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
- Intern will support a project related to exploration and evaluation of perfusion technologies. Bas Intern will perform mammalian cell culture processes and participate in the design, operation and development of bench-scale bioreactor systems to study cell retention system feasibility.
- Organized with good verbal and written communication skills. Document and present experimental results at various team forums.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals.
- Proficiency with basic lab skills. Familiarity with chemical hygiene and safety.
- Aseptic technique is a plus.
- Cell culture experience.
- Familiarity with bioreactor design, control and scaling principles.
- Familiarity with bioreactor cell retention systems and/or perfusion methods.
- Student in their 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate degree or Master’s candidate majoring in bioprocess engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry, cell biology or related field.
- Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles.
