Intermediate Mechanical Engineer | Commercial, high-rise residential, and healthcare facilities

Description:
Immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer – Project Manager, representing the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, and architects. Responsible for mechanical systems design and layout (utilizing AutoCAD and BIM), calculations, coordination with other design and trades and collaboration with more senior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Establish systems design and operational parameters in collaboration with senior technical staff
- Participate in and oversee QA process for your work and the work of others
- Collaborate with senior staff in the on-going determination of project scheduling and project budgets
- Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks as well as detailed inspection reports
- Process RFI’s, change orders and bulletins
- Oversee CAD/BIM staff that is assigned to a particular project or task
- Write engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of seven years of experience working in a consulting firm (MEP, A/E, AEC)
- REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP
- Possess sufficient knowledge to prepare red-line markups for CAD personnel
- Knowledge to read, review, and evaluate floor plans, sections, and elevations and visualize three-dimensional spaces
- Possess an expertise in trade specific design and calculation software
- Ability to make proper systems selections
- Must have a thorough understanding of all applicable codes
- Knowledge of SKM software
- Ability to perform short circuit coordination and arch flash studies
- EIT or PE desired. Or should be on the road to obtaining a license
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
