Our client is a growing women-owned engineering firm based in New York City offering Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Design services. Job Description:
Immediate need for Mechanical Engineer. This is for a self-motivated candidate who can grow with the firm. The Engineer should be able to design HVAC systems and related equipment under supervision of the Principal.

Responsibilities:

• Development of HVAC (Heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning) systems.
• Layout of related equipment to HVAC systems including ductwork layout
• Preparation of the necessary heating and load calculations
• Perform on-site surveys and inspections as required.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFI’s during construction
• Coordinate design requirements with other in-house MEP engineers
• Prepare all construction drawings and reports.
• Review drawings prior to client submission to ensure existing site conditions are accurately captured.

Qualifications:

• 5 + years of similar experience in HVAC Design
• Familiar with NYC codes and standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering required (or similar degree)
