Description:
Our client is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer to support NYC Department of Environmental Protection projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct necessary field visits throughout NYC.
• Assist with development of electrical scope of work.
• Coordinate with staff to finalize MEP scope of work.
• Prepare small-scale electrical drawings in-house (if needed).
• Assist PMs in finalizing job orders by reviewing proposals to confirm they are consistent with codes, and project drawings.
• Calculate electrical quantities for all active projects.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• MINIMUM of five years of related experience as an Electrical Engineer in similar projects and environments, preferably with NYC Public Sector.
• Technical proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• PE license desired BUT NOT REQUIRED.
• Proven experience with ConEd coordination (serve as liaison between DEP and Client when necessary).
• Knowledge of NYC Dept. of Buildings regulations.
• Knowledge of all applicable NYC Electrical codes.
• Desired experience in electrical estimating BUT NOT REQUIRED.

Education:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
