Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. This candidate should have accumulated 8-10 years of professional experience in residential design to be well-prepared for this unique opportunity.role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, from reviewing quotes and drafting schematics to skillful space planning and selecting fixed hard finishes. Additionally, the role works closely with clients, adapting to their preferred level of involvement and preferred design styles. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
Essential Functions
- End-to-End Project Management:Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
- Client and Team Engagement:Schedule and conduct meetings with clients and internal teams throughout the design process, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Schedule Management: Develop and manage design schedules, guiding projects through permit acquisition and regulatory processes.
- Design Development: Lead schematic design phases and produce comprehensive sets of plans for trade walk-throughs, permits, and construction.
- Client Presentations: Create compelling client presentations featuring renderings and 3D visualizations to articulate design concepts effectively.
- On-Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and alignment with design intent, addressing any issues promptly.
- Selection Management: Facilitate the selection process with clients and team members, coordinating choices within designated budgets and allowances.
- Budget Oversight:Manage design allowances and project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met without compromising quality or client satisfaction.
- Trade Collaboration:Collaborate closely with trades throughout project lifecycles, from sample procurement and quoting to purchasing, to ensure seamless execution.
- Client Relationship Management:Proactively manage client expectations by maintaining transparent communication and providing regular updates on project progress and milestones.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architectural Design, or related field
(Masters preferred) - NCIDQ certified (preferred)
- 8-10 years’ experience in Drafting Design (Residential preferred)
- Proficiency in Revit software
- Detail-oriented
Compensation
- $70,000-$90,000
- 401k - 4% match
