The Interior Design Project Manager will manage firm projects from conception to completion. They will collaborate with clients and design team members, plot furniture layouts, coordinate contractors, and manage on-site project installations and updates to ensure the project aligns with the client’s vision and requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer to impact from design to competition all while leveraging their expertise on luxurious residential.

Key Role Responsibilities
Project Management:

• Manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously.
• Develop and manage project timelines, selections, onsite walk-throughs, accuracy, and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Design Development:

• Participate in the conceptualization and development of design ideas, with a focus on the furniture plot in AutoCAD
• Support in preparing and presenting design proposals and material samples to clients.
• Support the production of detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents when needed.
• Ensure design solutions are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client expectations.
• Perform selections with the Principal, including hard surfaces to furniture.

Team Collaboration:

• Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure high-quality design output.

Vendor and Resource Management:

• Source and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Oversee procurement and manage project resources efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field preferred
• A minimum of 4 years prior experience in the interior design field with strong project management skills is required
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple interior design projects.
• Experience with design software like AutoCAD and Studio Designer; familiarity with other project management software is beneficial
• In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and construction techniques is necessary to guide the project and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills are vital for interacting with clients, design team members, contractors, and other stakeholders
• A creative mindset is important for generating innovative ideas and solutions that meet the client's needs and preferences
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously is crucial for keeping the project on track and ensuring timely completion
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent in making quick decisions to overcome obstacles
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is essential. This includes understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
