Interim Senior Financial Reporting Accountant (SEC Assistance)
Our client, a rapidly growing technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to assist with SEC reporting and other critical financial reporting functions. This role offers an opportunity to engage in technical accounting, work closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to high-visibility projects. The position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and SEC reporting experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A.
- Review earnings releases, investor decks, and key metrics for public disclosures.
- Prepare financial statements, including cash flows, shareholders’ equity, and EPS calculations.
- Research and implement technical accounting guidance and new pronouncements, drafting detailed memos.
- Assist with stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718.
- Collaborate with auditors, Legal, and internal teams to manage SOX compliance and quarterly reviews.
- Partner with international accounting teams to support statutory audits and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license required.
- 3+ years of public accounting and/or private industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial reporting standards.
- Familiarity with systems like NetSuite, Workiva, and Equity Edge Online is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
