Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting
Our client, an innovative company in the finance sector, is seeking a highly skilled Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to join their dynamic finance team. This fully remote position allows candidates from any time zone to apply. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the SEC reporting function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic direction for financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead external filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K Earnings Releases, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of XBRL reporting on a quarterly basis and review Investor Relations presentations.
- Manage stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718, including reconciliations and assisting in the valuation of new grants.
- Conduct technical accounting research for significant or unusual transactions, documenting the appropriate treatment.
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC developments, leading implementation efforts and maintaining SOX compliance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in SEC reporting and financial statement preparation, particularly cash flow statements.
- Proficiency in Workiva for drafting and collaboration, along with basic journal entry experience in Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 718 and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong project management skills and a track record of managing multiple projects.
