Location: Pontiac, MI/Hybrid
Duration: 12 months with possible extension/possible contract to hire
Description:
The main function of an interaction designer is to generate design ideas to meet user goals and create detailed form and behavior specifications to be used to build and test products.
A typical interaction designer is responsible for collaborating with engineering, design and marketing teams to lead the User Experience design process.
Collaborate with visual and Industrial designers to create visually pleasing, on-brand experiences.
Help design future Infotainment and Instrumentation products.
Leading the design of product form and behavior (behavior and interaction of the product).
Collaborate with teammates to conduct stakeholder and user research.
Utilize research to create requirements and problem definitions.
Capture knowledge in a variety of forms and models, including personas, scenarios, and requirements.
Create deliverables to communicate design work, which may include sketches, drawings, diagrams, low-resolution prototypes, wireframes, storyboards and/or other mediums.
In general, this position is responsible for deigning fixture and fixture set-ups used in the development and/or validation of propulsion system product development testing.
Experience with:
MFG: understanding how parts are made and how they go together.
Mechanically Inclined: Knowing the basics of the drawing, how parts are assembled.
Fixtured design.
Tooling
Dimensioning
MFG & fixtured designed
Team centers
Understand and be able to create drawing
