Work within a team to develop integration solutions leveraging existing
and new software platforms to meet internal and external
customers/partner requirements. Responsibilities include analyzing
requirements, understanding business processes and needs, and
designing/building integration solutions to achieve business goals.
Solutions usually involve integration of functionality across on-prem
and cloud-based production platforms, business partner sources, and
government sources. Projects are completed with cross-functional teams
of IT peers and business partners. Manage time and expectations to
ensure a high degree of stakeholder and user satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and prioritize stakeholder requests. Communicate promptly,
consistently, and effectively with stakeholders.
- Analyze and evaluate data sources, requirements, and business
processes. Develop, optimize, and support code solutions within a
structured coding environment. Assess user requirements and provide
input to departments. Liaise with other IT staff to improve system
efficiency, security, and functionality.
- Prepare systems specifications, project plans, and other internal
documents. Ensure users and partners understand nature of work being
performed, as well as timeframes and milestones. Provide regular
status updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Design and apply new methods and procedures. Develop and test
systems, programs, and database structure for efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve potential and evident system
problems. Provide troubleshooting support to other staff.
- Balance high-priority work with lower priority maintenance work to
ensure both success of projects and smooth operation of existing
functions.
- Train users in technical aspects of systems.
- Participate in selection and recommendation of suppliers and
vendors. Assist in management of those relationships.
- Proactively identify opportunities for system and process
improvement. Work with management and stakeholders to prioritize and
implement solutions accordingly
- Maintain familiarity with current software development patterns,
tools, and technologies.
Supporting Responsibilities:
- Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
- Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and
regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected
health information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUCCESS PROFILE
Work Experience: Minimum of two years of real-world systems
development and analysis in a business environment required. Healthcare
or health insurance industry experience preferred. Experience with
service and data layer software development required.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
in Computer Science or closely related field.
Knowledge: Familiarit with healthcare related data formats such as
EDI, SNOMED, FHIR, and HL7. Epic Payer Platform (or other Epic)
interfaces. Expertise using data platforms such as Spark, Databricks, or
Snowflake. Visual Studio.NET languages (principally C#) and Microsoft
Transact-SQL. Strong knowledge of software design and Object-Oriented
Programming principles. Structured code management best practices using
Git, Team Foundation Server, or Azure DevOps. Experience modeling
workflow and business processes. Experience with synchronous and
asynchronous integration patterns utilizing APIs and API management
platforms, message/service bus approaches, queuing, etc. Experience
quickly analyzing, designing, and creating data integrations drawn from
normalized databases, SSIS packages, XML, NOSQL, JSON, and other
sources. Working familiarity with systems analysis techniques, load
balancing, scalability design, event management/monitoring and alerting,
etc. Self-management skills for coordinating numerous, simultaneous
projects. Responsible for accurate, reliable design, development,
maintenance, and testing of applications. Participate in broad
information systems assignments requiring originality and ingenuity.
Work independently and in teams. Proficient keyboarding required.
