Insurance Verification Specialist - Partners Personnel

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Insurance Verification Specialist in Sarasota, FL (this is an on-site, full-time, direct hire role). We are an insurance plan broker/administrator for student health insurance plans. We specialize in Medical and Health Science Universities. You will work directly with Account Managers assisting in the management services of our clients. Your workflow will be directed by the Account Managers, and you will work in a team environment. Must be a team player and step up, help others, and be a problem solver. Cross-training and knowledge of all clients will be necessary. You must have a proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Our business is cyclical, and our high volume of work is intense. This position has the potential for growth to an Account Manager position. You must be very proficient in data processing, learn new systems quickly and work with various parameters specific to each university we work with.

You will be required to be in the office from 9 – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This is not a remote position. Our business is seasonal with our high-volume time from March to September.

Payrate/Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00

It is REQUIRED that you have strong Excel capabilities (V-lookups and conditional formatting)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Verifies Insurance coverage and processes Waivers

· Investigate client inquiries as directed by Account Managers with the ability to transition and handle emergent priorities

· Conduct Audits for Account Managers to ensure clean billing

· Update client files and database with accuracy. Ability to handle heavy seasonal database updates

· Maintains the strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

· Provide personal prompt and efficient customer service via telephone

· Works primarily within Excel to process and maintain data.

· Works in conjunction with account managers to ensure clean billing.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Intermediate or higher) and Microsoft Access systems.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment where things happen very quickly, and activity is continuous throughout the day.

· Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

· Quick Learner

· Ability to grasp new software applications.

· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments

· Possession of strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
